Ogidika Kelvin a.k.a OK Effect, a Nigerian photographer who was arrested alongside Olalekan Jacob Ponle a.k.a Woodberry and Ramon Abass a.k.a Hushpuppi has been released from prison.
Recall that in a video released by the Dubai police after the raid, it was disclosed that 12 people were arrested in the 6 raids which took place while the suspects were sleeping.

Kelvin who arrived the country two days ago, was arrested after being found in the house which the main suspects lived in. He was released after he was found non-culpable in the money laundering and internet fraud allegation Hushpuppi and Woodberry were charged with before the two were extradited to the United States. Others remained in Dubai.

The photographer confirmed his release in a post he shared on social media and also disclosed that all those he was arrested with have been released except Hushpuppi and Woodberry.
Prior to his release, the photographer’s last post on Instagram was 22 weeks ago and on Twitter, it was June 7.

Ramon Abbas a.k.a #Hushpuppi has gotten another lawyer to represent him in California. Hushpuppi’s lawyer, Gal Pissetzky who is only licensed to practice in Chicago will now be supported by Vicki Podberesky of Andrues/Podberesky law firm based in Los Angeles.
The law firm specializes in representing individuals in both state and federal criminal matters, as well as companies and individuals in administrative and in-house investigations.

Pissetzky had applied to appear Pro hac vice on behalf of the alleged fraudster in California on July 22, with an attestation letter from the Attorney Registration and the Disciplinary Commission of the Supreme Court in Illinois.

Premium Times reported that Mrs Podberesky was hired as the local counsel to work with Mr Pitsetssky after Justice Pedro V Castillo of the U.S court in California granted the Chicago lawyer’s Pro hac vice request.

Pissetzky who spoke with the publication, also disclosed that the case is far from being set to go to trial as the U.S. government is yet to turn over all the evidence. He said the date for the next appearance has not been released yet.

More details on the humble beginning of suspected Nigerian fraudster, #Hushpuppi, has surfaced online.
The self-proclaimed ‘Billionaire Gucci Master’ reportedly grew up in a slum (which he once acknowledged), bought food on credit, did menial jobs, before taking to fraud have surfaced the internet.
In a recent report by The Cable, Hushpuppi’s relationship with his family members and childhood friends was discussed extensively.

#Hushpuppi, a Nigerian Instagram personality, who is facing cyberfraud allegations in the United States, has disengaged Gal Pissetzky, his lawyer in Chicago after his trial was transferred to California.
The self-acclaimed influencer, whose real name is Ramon Igbalode, had been arraigned in Chicago on money laundering charges following his arrest in Dubai and subsequent extradition to the US.
He had also hired the top lawyer who immediately took up his defense. Hushpuppi was however denied bail in a Chicago hearing, with a judge ruling that he would remain detained until his trial later this year.
According to Premium Times, documents showed that Igbalode case has been transferred to the central district of California for prosecution.
It was gathered that the transfer had come after the US government orally renewed its motion for removal in custody and the motion was granted during the detention hearing on Monday.

“Accordingly, Defendant is ordered removed to the Central District of California in the custody of the U.S. Marshal forthwith,” the court ruled after which the defendant was moved on Tuesday.

“As provided by 18 U.S.C. § 3142(f), the defendant is remanded to the custody of the U.S. Marshal and shall remain in custody until further order of the Court.”

It is also understood from the commitment letter sent to California that Hushpuppi had refused to retain Pissetzky as his attorney, requesting that a court-appointed counsel be assigned to him.

The self-acclaimed influencer is said to have conspired to launder hundreds of millions of dollars from business email compromise (BEC) frauds and other scams, one for which he could get a maximum jail term of 20 years if convicted.

Nigerian suspected fraudster, Ramon Abbas, popularly known as #Hushpuppi has been denied bail in the United States.
DAILY POST had reported that his lawyer, Gal Pissetzky had said that his client was kidnapped by the FBI from Dubai and taken to the US.

Pissetzky also insisted that his job as an Instagram celebrity paid for the $10,000 monthly rent on his luxury Dubai flat.

His lawyer applied for him to leave jail with an electronic tag and live with the uncle, but US prosecutors opposed the bail application.

According to the UAE’s The National, the prosecutors said he could commit crimes with just a smartphone and an internet connection and that he posed too much of a flight risk.

Reacting to prosecutors’ argument, Pissetzky said his client had too much to lose if he flees from the United States.

“He is loved, respected and he is a celebrity.

“I don’t see the reason why he would want to ruin his credibility in the world and his status rather than stay here and face this allegation.

“Anywhere he goes, people will know.

”Having grown up very poor in Nigeria, Mr. Abbas is now paid to pose with high-priced items such as Louis Vuitton bags that people would buy after seeing his posts on Instagram.

“He is an influencer. That’s a job today, as much as it is hard to imagine this is actually a full-time job,” Pissetzky said.

Nigerian lady has gone viral on Facebook after she shared photos of Hushpuppi and showered praises on him.
The comedian named Ada Jesus shared photos of Raymond Olorunwa Abbas, better known as #Hushpuppi, who was arrested in Dubai for alleged fraud and extradited to the US where he is currently being held at the Metropolitan Correctional Center, Chicago.

Some Nigerians have reacted to a leaked prison information about Ramon Abbas, popularly known as #Hushpuppi which has hit the internet.
Earlier today, some photos of the prison the Big Boy Hushpuppi has been held in Chicago, United States git the the internet today.

Recall that the alleged fraudster was extradited from Dubai to the States few days ago to face first trial.

However, the prison information of Hushpuppi has hit online which has caused some reactions from social media users. On the prison information chit released, Hushpuppi has been given an inmate registration “54313-424” with a portion that says his release is unknown.

Nigerian social media star, #Hushpuppi is currently being held at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Chicago.
The Instagram celebrity who was arrested in Dubai in June, and extradited to the United States of America, appeared in court last Thursday.

He was charged with running a global fraud operation, including targeting a Premier League football club, a bank and a US law firm.



Ramon Olorunwa Abbas, 37, who claims to run a real estate business, is alleged to have conspired to launder hundreds of millions of dollars through business email compromise (BEC) frauds and other scams, the US Department of Justice (DoJ) said.
He is also accused of laundering $14.7m stolen in a cyber-heist from an unnamed bank in February 2019, sending the money to bank accounts around the world.



A months-long investigation by the FBI led to his arrest last month by authorities in the United Arab Emirates, where Abbas was a resident.

FBI special agents obtained custody of Abbas and took him to Chicago.

Hushpuppi is being held at the Metropolitan Correctional Center, Chicago, the Federal Bureau of Prisons website says. He will be transferred to Los Angeles in the coming weeks, according the Justice Department.

If convicted of money laundering, he would face a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.

A GoFundMe account with target of 50 thousand dollars has been created to help save/bail alleged fraudster, #Hushpuppi who was reportedly arrested by the FBI and Interpol.

The GoFundMe account was created five days ago and no one has donated any funds yet.

Although reports have it that the account was created by fraudsters who intend to swindle donors of their moneys, Hushpuppi’s associates/family members are yet to refute or debunk it.

Popular Nigerian journalist, Dr. Kemi #Olunloyo, has shared some insights on reasons she believes led to the arrest of Nigerian-Dubai based socialite, #Hushpuppi.

According to Dr. Kemi, Hushpuppi and his associate, Woodberry were implicated by the Secret Service in a Nigerian Unemployment Insurance scam named Scattered Canary.

The journalist also shared details of their skims on her Instagram page.

Instagram is a place where a lot of losers find confidence in trolling people which I have been a victim of for many years.

Some words gets to me sometimes and because of this I disabled my IG notifications and stay away from reading comments because I know what you don’t see or hear don’t get to your heart.

Then on this beautiful day few days ago, I wanted to delete the post on my newly acquired rolls royce truck and a comment cme in right at that moment of someine commenting under another fan’s comment trolling them.

It said “… Poor man praying for the rich” so it caught my interest and wanted to see what was going on and then i saw someone else before that one even already dissed him about the same.

Then I took a screenshot and saved in my favs in my photo album so I can see it again and remember to reach out to that awesome and amazing person who prayed for me regardless of his financial status and being called poor.

Then this morning I was looking through my phone and O saw the screenshot and I decided to dm that guy who prayed for me and without knowing it was his birthday and he shares the same birthday with his dad and I wished them happy birthday and …..

I decided to make his day and make him a millionaire and make him know there’s a win in being a positive person, there’s good in wishing and praying good for people no matter your situation, don’t let it get the best of you. Be positive, Be prayerful.

Not long ago Nigerian billionaire #Hushpuppi bought Rolls Royce Eagle VIII Bespoke 2020 in which he happens to be the first person to ever own it.
He was chastised by social media users for using huge sums of money to buy ordinary car while people suffer from coronavirus.

Nigerian big boy, #Hushpuppi has just bought for himself a Rolls Royce Cullinan 2020 reportedly worth about N200 million.

He made the revelation in a new post on his Instagram page, where he posted a video of the luxurioys vehicle beside his old Rolls Royce Wraith he bought in 2019.

Dubai-based Nigerian,  #Hushpuppi has reacted to the arrest of Ismaila Mustapha aka #Mompha, by International Police (Interpol).

Nigerians had earlier stormed Hushpuppi’s Instagram page to say he will be the next to be arrested shortly after the news Mompha’s alleged arrest made the rounds on social media.

While reacting to their bad wish, he took to his insta-story to say all those waiting for bad news would perish.
