Young Nigerians protesting against SARS brutality, under the #EndSARS movement, stormed the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos state.
The protesters in their hundreds are preventing movement in and out of the busiest airport in the country.

Nationwide protests have been going on over the past 11 days, demanding an end to police brutality and extrajudicial killings, but since it began, this is the first time protesters would disrupt activities inside an airport.

Nigerian singer, #Falz has turned down being one of the panelist of a youth virtual town hall meeting on police brutality organized by the federal government.
The singer who noted that he was given false information about the town hall meeting, added that there is no need for it as the agenda of the #EndSARS meeting is clear.

Burna Boy has reacted to the attacks on #EndSARS #EndSWAT protesters across the country by unknown thugs describing it as “cowardly and sadly”
Some unknown thugs attacked peaceful protesters at Alausa this morning and some other parts of the Nigeria disrupting the events and leaving several protesters injured.

Burna in his tweet hit on the unknown distinguished officials telling them their actions wont stop the protesters from their coarse.

Sending paid thugs to disrupt the protests is cowardly and sadly, IT WONT STOP US! I can put that in triplicate and send to you distinguished officials. #SARSMUSTEND #ENDSWAT #YOUREALLUPINOURKOOLAID

The Afrobeat singer is one of the few artistes in Nigeria who is whole heartedly supporting the campaign demanding for reforms in some institution in the country.

Nigerian Singer, Burna Boy is calling for “Institutional reform” in Nigeria especially for the police force.
In a tweet he made on the 14th of October, Burna Boy lamented about the way Police Offers are being paid.

According to him, there is no reason a police officer should be paid 50/60 thousand Naira a month, adding it was too poor.

He said that this poor wages doesn’t help anyone. Burna has been lending his voice to the ongoing #EndSars Movement.

“It’s a great morning to demand for institutional reform in Nigeria. No reason why a sergeant on the police force earns 50/60k ($127) a month with no benefits! It doesn’t help our plight. #SARSMUSTEND“

He started an intiative called “Project Protect” to help protesters who come into trouble while protesting on the street.

He also launched #EndSars campaigns on billboards in Lagos and Port-Harcourt.

Controversial Nigerian author and former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has risen to the defense of Nigerian singer, Davido over his responses during his conversation with the Police PRO over #EndSARS protest.
Davido was captured on camera denying the fact that he protested against the Police and SARS when he joined the protester in Abuja.

Nigerians have since bashed him claiming he betrayed his own people, the same people he was trying to fight for when he got the chance to speak up to power, however, Reno Omokri hold a different opinion as he described Davido’s responses as ‘diplomatic’ but no fear or cowardice like many asserted.

Taking to his Instagram page, he wrote:

“I just watched the video of @DavidoOfficial with the spokesman of the @nigeriapoliceforce, Frank Mba.

“What I read in the media was pure hyperbole. He was not jittery. Yes, he was diplomatic and there is nothing wrong with that. It is not cowardice. It is wisdom. Even Scripture preaches it. In my opinion, those accusing him of betraying #SARSMUSTEND are not being kind to him.

“How many celebrities came out to identify with protesters? I don’t want to mention names. Some were even defending FSARS. And then you start to criticise the Davido that risked his life to identify with his fans, just because he applied wisdom. And you expect more celebrities to join us?”

Popular broadcaster, Ifedayo Olarinde aka Daddy Freeze has hit out at the Churches and their leaders who are yet to lend their voices in the ongoing #EndSARS campaign against police brutality in Nigeria.
Taking to his Twitter page, The Lagos-based On Air Personality acknowledged others who have spoken out and pleaded with the rest to publicly come out and stand for the people like late American Christian minister and activist, Martin Luther King Jr, did for his own people.

He wrote;

”The silence from the Churches/GOs regarding #EndSARS is so loud! Except for a few that spoke earlier, everyone else in church leadership is so conspicuously silent? Please, I plead with you, Stand with the people like Martin Luther King did! He was a reverend! ~FRZ #SARSMUSTEND”

The singer says his inability to join the #EndSars in Port Harcourt is for personal reasons.
The music star made this known while responding to fans who requested his presence at the Port Harcourt branch of the #EndSars protest.

“Abeg come for the PH protest tomorrow Burna boy, join us,” a fan tweeted.

The singer replied with a shocking response.

“Probably my BIGGEST frustration atm. But I have to stay here and make sure my mum recovers fully from her surgery. I dey wit una FULLY! …Pls Dm @protectng2020 if you can volunteer to help at the ph protest #SARSMUSTEND,” he tweeted.
