Afrobeat singer Femi Anikulapo-Kuti on Sunday told a Twitter user that he does not smoke.
His statement came shortly after the Twitter user named Collins Ubogu knocked him for speaking on the #EndSARS protest.

Femi had written:

“To put as short as possible-#EndSARS peaceful protest started, police attacked & failed, thugs sent & failed demands of the protest grew larger #EndBadGovernanceinNIGERIA, soldiers sent to shoot.

“Palliatives meant for the people found. All hell breaks out. Govt failed its people.”

Mr Ubogu who was not in support of what Femi wrote replied,

“Stop smoking weed your father is more knowledgeable than these.”

Then Femi wrote:

” I don’t smoke…”

Former big brother Naija housemate, Natacha Akide popularly known as #Tacha, has reacted the FCTA’s banning of protests in Abuja.
Recall that FCTA accused protesters of violating COVID-19 guidelines regulating public gatherings, as well as endangering their own lives.

According to the Rivers born reality star, #EndSARS protesters are endangering their lives for a good cause, so ‘it’s fine.

“we are ENDANGERING OUR LIVES FOR A GOOD CAUSE! So it’s FINE!! WE WILL SLEEP!! EAT!! DINE!! JOLLY!! AND BAFF ON THE STREETS!!! END IT ALL!!! #EndBadGovernanceinNIGERIA #EndSWAT 72Hrs!! #Anonymous” she tweeted.

Tacha is one of the many celebrities to have spoken out and joined protests against police brutality in Nigeria.

Nigerian singer, Yemi Alade, has lent her voice to the ongoing discussion on police brutality in Nigeria.
The self-proclaimed ‘Mama Africa’ took to her Twitter page to identify with the struggles of the common citizen in Nigeria.

She has also appealed to the Nigerian government to put an end to bad governance. She tweeted:

“The common man in Nigeria is suffering and our lives are not safe. How do we get a better future, if the leaders aren’t taking notice of the fact that Nigeria is falling to pieces. #NigerianLivesMatter #StopPoliceBrutalityinNigeria #EndBadGovernanceinNIGERIA”
