“#Rema has done more than #Wizkid this year”
That’s how the argument began. I had engaged one of the popular die hard fans from Wizkid FC on why Wizkid didn’t deserve his Headies nomination and I even said “Rema has done more”

But has Rema really done more than Wizkid this year alone?

If we are to be sincere, yeah. But let’s reason this.

Rema had droppped his EP, Rema EP which contained he hits, Dumebi and Corny which were one of the bangers that dominated the music space for the first quarter of the year.

Wizkid was missing, still enjoying his three month hiatus and had returned in April to collaborate with Larry Gaage on Low which was popular just for a few months before it faded but let’s agree, Dumebi is bigger in terms of popularity than Low.

While we can agree Wizkid has eventually marked his return to the music space with a couple of releases, they’ve been poorly received.

Ghetto Love, his first official song of 2019 was harshly criticized by many and while Joro was rich in rhythm and sound, many found the lyrical content unimpressive especially from someone who had collaborated with Beyonce on Brown Skin Girl.

In contrast, Rema continues to lead conversations with Dumebi. The record has been nominated for the song of the year and Rema himself is leading in terms of who might win the Next Rated Award.

Rema has also dropped two more projects after his first EP, releasing “Rema FreeStyle EP” and the recently released “Bad Commando EP” has been receiving positive reviews and “Lady”, a track from the EP has been enjoying massive airplay on radio.

Yeah, Wizkid‘s Made In Lagos would be released in a few weeks and perhaps Wizkid’s impact might be felt the more in the music industry.

Nigerian Singer #Wizkid and Baby Mama Jada Pollock afro music star Wizkid has sent a shout out to his baby mama on as she adds on more year to her age.
Jada who is the singer’s third baby mama added a new age yesterday, and the singer took to his social media space to celebrate her.

Wizkid who took to his Twitter, congratulated Jada, calling her a superwoman and a strong mother.

In his own words: “Thank you Jada! Thank you Jada! Thank You, Jada! Happy birthday! love you!! superwoman!! My bad charge. Got you forever!”

Nigerians has no chill as they dragged south African famale fan who said she won't die a peaceful death if she didn't see #wizkid   perform live on stage in South African, this happen after Starboy fest at the O2 Arena in London.

The lady, who is a die-hard Wizkid fan, took to twitter to write ;

So shocked at the comments. I am basically saying I love Wizkid and would love to see him perform live. Please go and direct your anger somewhere else. Did I start xenophobia? Am I not allowed to like Nigerian artists? Please I beg, get out of here with your negativity.

#Wizkid becomes the first African to sell out the 02 Arena center for two consecutives year back to back.
In his recently held starboyfest concert,  Wizkid yet again filled up the whole 20,000 capacity Arena hall in London.

With the support of some top artistes from the motherland,  the likes of; #Fireboy, Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, #Olamide, Naira Marley and many more Wizkid sold out O2 arena making it the second in a year span.

#Wizkid has revealed he cannot afford to stay without Nigerian food even when he is out of the country.
Starboy disclosed this while on an interview with in the United Kingdom after he was quizzed on why he left Los Angeles, United States after staying there for two years.

Wizkid revealed he had to leave LA because he was bored and more especially because of the constant lack of Nigerian delicacies.

The “Joro” singer then went ahead to reveal that he doesn’t eat any other food apart from Nigerian food.

This is the most shocking thing you will probably be seeing on the internet today.
So #Wizkid makes a very shocking revelation of leaving his first record label, EME owned by veteran R&B singer, Banky W. That’s very hard to believe though.

He made this known while speaking in an interview with Capital Xtra, a UK Based radio station about his career’s movement and progression.

We can all recall that, Wizkid left his record label, EME in 2014, and as at then Wizkid is already a mega superstar, and not having anything in his account has stated by him has caused a lot of argument in the industry.

We’ll probably be needing Banky W‘s intervention on this, as it’s probably the only available means to establish the truth this time.

Joro comes after a few weeks the superstar released a tune titled “Ghetto Love” we hope this tune is worth the hype.

Producer #Northboi continues his rants against #Wizkid on Twitter as he makes a new daring claim.

The producer who currently is in a war of words with fellow Starboy affiliate-producer, Killertunez, earlier lashed out at Wizkid today.

He claimed the superstar singer did not give him credit on his new single, “Joro” even after he produced the song, thereby dragging Wizkid to the mud by claiming he gave him his first global hit since he had “Ojuelegba” and “Don’t Dull.”

Northboi, however, didn’t stop there as he now claims Wizkid once threatened him with a gun after asking for a contract for “Joro.”

He also revealed there is a particular track with Damian Marley on the album that he demanded a contract for, he revealed Wizkid threatened him as a result of that too.

He then went on to reveal he is fed up with his threats and rather than work and not get paid, he would quit and go for his Master’s degree.

Nigerian international act, #Wizkid in a latest interview with Okay Africa on Thursday disclosed a lot that has been happening with him especially this year.

The Star Boy record label owner spoke extensively on his latest song ‘Joro’, which was released a few days ago.

Wizkid disclosed that Joro was inspired by love.

He said:-

It was inspired by love. It’s talking about not wanting to lose love. “Joro” means enjoyment, so on the chorus it means at the end of the day, “if I can be with you, we can enjoy ourselves.

He also spoke on what happened during the production of the song.

[It was] produced by Northboi and mixed by STG. Big up to my guys. There was a part recorded when I had my son Zion with me. I actually had to wait for him to sleep. I wanted to drop it to mark Nigerian Independence. It’s for my people. I always want to recognize my people, my country.’

Although, some critics are of the opinion that the song ‘Joro’ lacked content, however, Wizkid on his part seems not be bothered about that as he is preparing for the StarBoyFest to hold this month.

He is also working on the released of his next album, Made In Lagos, which is expected to be out next year and taking a look at the title of the album will be focus on Nigeria content unlike his album Sound From The Other Side SFTOS released in 2017 which focused on the international scene.

Nigerian music sensation Tiwa Savage has now revealed that she is single although she and #Wizkid are ‘friends with benefit’.

In a recent radio interview, Tiwa Savage was asked about her relationship with Wizkid and if they were friends with benefit and she affirmed that they are.

She said they are definitely friends with benefits. Laughing, she also added that they do both adult and indoor shows together in public and private venues.

She went on explaining that they enough several benefits together as they do shows together, do music together and make money together.
