Nigerian actress, Toyin Abraham has called out the Chairman of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri Erewa, accusing her of blocking her on social media.
Toyin claimed that Abike Dabiri blocked her on Twitter after she appealed to her to intervene over Nigerians in Cairo who have been arrested because they protesting against police brutality in Nigeria.

According to the mother of one, Abike blocked so she won’t be able to tag her on issues related to #EndSARS.

“Let the whole world know that the peaceful protesters in Cairo were arrested by Nigeria Embassy another case of @abikedabiri you people failed us”, Toyin tweeted

Taking to her Instagram page in a recent update, Toyin tagged her again and accused her of failing Nigerians.

#EndSars protesters on Monday, shut down Jakande Estate, Oke-afa, and Isolo in Lagos.
The protesters shut the road as early as 9: am and said that the protest would last for five days.

Mr Bolaji Banjo, an activist in the estate, said that youths in the estate are lending their voices in the ongoing protest.

Banjo said that the protest would be a peaceful one that they are not out to fight the government.



He said that they are joining the protesters nationwide in the agitation for good governance among others.

Miss Oluwabamishe Soile, a female activist said that she is out to encourage other females to join the protest.

Soile said that they were out to make their voices heard in the best way.

Mr Kehinde Teniola, a protester also said that many of the youths had at least first degree but are not employed.

Teniola said that:

“It is only in Nigeria that you will see a 40year old man that still lives with his parent.

“Why can’t Nigeria youths do well in their various endeavours like they do when they relocate abroad? because there is no enabling environment for them to strive well”.

Also, Semit Dechamelon, an observer expressed concerns at the rate of unemployed youths in the country.

He said that the dwindling state of the economy has made livelihood difficult for many households.

“Many parents find it difficult to take care of their children including their young graduates who are still living with them.’

A protester, Miss Oluwabunmi Abegunde said that so far, the protest has been peaceful and orderly.

Nigerian investigative journalist, Kiki Mordi has slammed Deji Banjo, known better with stage name, D’Banj for always bringing the death of his son into every conversation.
D’Banj lost his son, Daniel, to a tragic domestic accident at his residence in Lagos on June 25th, 2018. The 13-month-old boy was playing around the indoor swimming pool when he fell in and drowned.

In the light of the ongoing #EndSARS protest, Davido shared a sympathetic message to those who have lost loved ones to police brutality. According to him, he understands their pain because he has been there.

He wrote:-

“I know what it means to be in pain,to lose a child and a loved one..so I know the pain my brothers and sisters are going through and my heart is heavy . I pray God grants us the healing and restoration we so deeply need in our country and that our light can once again shine.”

Kiki Mordi, who wasn’t having none of that, condemned him for using his son’s death to ’emotionally blackmail’ Nigerians.

She wrote:-

Popular Nigerian Singer, Harrysong addressed Northern youths over #EndSARS movement.
Speaking via an Instagram video, he posted on his page saying that the #EndSARS protest is neither political, tribal or religious war as some are beginning to turn it to such.

The ”reggae-blues” crooner made this known following a social media post by some Northern Nigerians who claimed the #EndSARS had being politicized.

Nigerian photographer Busola Dakolo has called out judges, human rights activists and religious leaders supporting oppression and injustice.
The mum of two and wife of singer-songwriter Timi Dakolo, shared the message to her 1 million plus followers on social media.

She said that anyone who isn’t fighting for the growth of the country, is part of the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS).

“To all the judges, some so-called human rights activists, religious people that silently or cunningly support oppression and injustice, you are part of SARS.

Nigerian Singer, Seun Kuti has called on the federal government to grant the request of #EndSARS protesters and not make decisions like they have the trust of the masses.
Seun Kuti made this call while speaking of Channels TV’s “Sunday Politics” programme.

Commenting on the federal government’s claim of meeting all the request of the young protesters and calling for an end to the protest, the singer stated that the government does not fully get what is being demanded and what the protest is about.

He said;

“This government should not act as if people trust them. They should not wear that toga for themselves. That is what I am saying.

“People should not sit in their high offices in Abuja. Bring yourself off your high horse. Come and relate with the people that just voted for you. Come and really hear what is going on.

“They have done judicial enquiry against SARS two years ago, what came out of it? It was this same government.”

On claims of the protest being hijacked,Seun Kuti said;

“Don’t feel victimized, don’t think there is somebody trying to get you. No. These are your people trying to talk to you.

“This is actually a moment that we can actually build a bridge (between the government and the people), but they don’t want to hear that.”

Former Big Brother Naija housemate, #TrikyTee has debunked the rumor circulating social media that he requested for 500k to join #EndSARS protest in Bayelsa.
According to MC Ijawpikin the reality star told them that he would only participate in the protest in Bayelsa if he receives the sum of 500k as he Lagos based and has nothing to with Bayelsa protest.

The #EndSARS protest has been attempted to be hijacked by several individuals with different interests, which is ultimately leading to a degeneration of the entire campaign.
The popular LGBT group run by “Feminists Co” on twitter has accused the #EndSARS campaign of not including their interest on the on-going fight and campaign, something which has brought some form of division amongst members of the #ENDSARS protesters.

This gave an opportunity to the former presidential candidate, Adamu Garba, who has accused the twitter founder, Jack Dorsey of supporting the #EndSARS movement in order to further is political agenda of forcing the LGBT culture on Nigerians.

Nigerian Musician and the youngest son of famous Afro-beat pioneer Fela Kuti, Seun Kuti has voiced out his opinion on the issue of Nigerian youths asking the Federal Government to increase the salaries of Police men.
Recalls that the increment in the salaries of the Nigerian police men is among the 5 of 5 demand of the youths in the ongoing nationwide #EndSars protest.

According to the 37 year old, increment in police salaries can not stop their corruption. Seun Kuti added that Nigerian youths are not in the position to ask the Federal Government to increase the police men salaries. The activist added that the police is a body and they have the right to protest and demand for their salaries to be increased.

Seun however urged Nigerian youths to ask for the right things and leave the police men alone to fight for themselves.

EndSARS protesters launch online radio, Soro Soke
Youths calling for a total overhaul of the Nigeria Police Force have launched an online radio, Soro Soke, The PUNCH has learnt.

The channel, through effective and timely communication, is expected to aid the coordination of #EndSARS protests nationwide.

When our correspondent tuned in to the station around 1pm on Sunday, programmes and live reports of missing and found #EndSARS protesters were escalated on the radio,

Songs calling for a reformed Nigeria were also heard on the station.

Soro Soke, a Yoruba sentence which translates as ‘Speak Up,’ had last week become a mantra of the #EndSARS campaign after protesters in Lagos State urged Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to ‘soro soke’ whilst addressing the youths.

Soro Soke is also a metaphor for all Nigerians to speak up against bad governance and resist corrupt leaders.

The Twitter handle of the station, @Sorosoke247, reads, “24/7 update on all things protest. We are for a better nation powered by value for life and good governance.”

Ace Fuji artiste, Alhaji Wasiu Alabi Pasuma was booed by #EndSARS protesters at the protest ground in Alausa, Ikeja, the Lagos State capital.
Pasuma who paid a solidarity visit to the protest ground on Sunday in the company of his associates and bodyguard was booed and verbally assaulted because of his alleged involvement with the chairman of the Lagos State Chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya popularly known as MC Oluomo who was alleged to have sponsored last Thursday’s attack on protesters in Alausa.

The protesters wondered why Pasuma was at the protest ground when his alleged paymaster, MC Olumo was behind the attack which left many protesters injured and vehicles destroyed.

The musician was fetched to safety by his bodyguard to avoid being lynched.

Meanwhile, protesters were treated to a sumptuous meal of Amala and Gbegiri (bean soup) with Ewedu (Jute mallow) courtesy Tunde and Wunmi Obe.

Wesley Snipes, better known for the “Blade” film trilogy has come as the latest Hollywood star to support Nigerian youth on their quest to end bad governance, police brutality, extortion and harassment by security personnel (SARS).

The National Examination Council(NECO) has been forced to reschedule Paper I Computer Studies Practical’s scheduled to take place on Monday 19 October 2020 to November 16.
In a statement by the Head, Information and Public Relations Division, NECO, Azeez Sani, the council blamed the decision on the #ENDSARS protests that blocked the free movement of transport at the entrance gate into Benin City, the Edo state capital.

The statement reads:

“This is to inform the general public and especially candidates that the National Examinations Council (NECO) has been constrained to reschedule the Paper I Computer Studies Practical’s earlier scheduled to take place on Monday 19 October 2020, 10 am to 1 pm. The examination of this paper will now hold on Monday 16 November 2020, 10 am-1 pm.

​”This unforeseen incident has been caused by the ENDSARS protest that blocked the free movement of transport at the City entrance gate Benin.

“The NECO delivery truck had left its take-off point well in advance two days earlier to deliver examination materials to some states and has been held up in the blockage since then.

“The Council wishes to assure all stakeholders and the general public that the affected examination materials have been retrieved intact and are in the custody of NECO’s vault.

​”While regretting any inconveniences this rescheduling may cause our esteemed stakeholders, the Council has however taken this decision in order to maintain the integrity and security of its examinations procedures for seamless conduct of the Council’s examination.”

According to claims online, Big Brother Naija season 5 reality star, #Trikytee allegedly demanded he’s paid 500 thousand Naira as appearance fee to join the #EndSars protest in Bayelsa State.
The report has it that he should be paid the sum before joins the protest despite being from the state, the report remains unconfirmed though.

Trikytee reportedly insisted he’s paid when the organizers of the Bayelsa State protest told him they can’t afford his fees, he also refused to do a video shout out unless he’s paid.

Nigerian artists, #Phyno, #Kcee and #Zoro have revealed that their lives were threatened during the #EndSARS protests on Saturday in Enugu.
This was contained in a series of Tweets made by the trio on Twitter.

According to them, their #EndSARS protest in Enugu today was peaceful until some government-sponsored thugs came to disrupt it.

Their uniform tweet read:

“Enugu! Today our lives were threatened and we are making it clear that if ANYTHING happens to any single one of us or any protesters, let it be known that it was done by the ENUGU STATE GOVERNMENT!

“Today, our peaceful protest in Enugu from Ogbete Market to the Enugu State Government House was going well until we reached the government house. Along the way we noticed a group of thugs joined the protests…

“The governor came out but refused to speak up and address the protestors, instead he addressed the thugs. The thugs tried to fight us but we maintained peace because we recognized their plan.

Indigenous rapper, #Phyno has accused the Enugu state government of threatening his life and that of other #EndSARS protesters.
In a tweet he shared, he stated that the Enugu state government should be held responsible should anything happen to them.

Phyno accused Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of storming the protest with thugs who tried to fight them.

He tweeted;

Youths in the Surulere area of Lagos have continued the #ENDSARS protest as demonstration held across the state.
The protest which held on Saturday witnessed a new twist as demonstrators embark on the march with dogs as guards.

This is apparently in a bid to keep away thugs and other interested parties from disrupting the demonstration, as witnessed in some parts of Lagos.

Notable among the protesters were some middle-aged women and physically challenged persons who also came out in a bid to make their voices heard.
Just like their counterparts in other parts of the state, they are calling for an end to police brutality in the country.

The protesters also stressed the need to reform the police, adding that there was no going back on holding the government accountable for the actions of its officials.

This comes five days after some police officers in Surulere shot at a crowd of protesters who were peacefully exercising their fundamental human rights.

The action of the security officials led to the death of a man who was hit by a bullet while a few others were left injured.

In his reaction, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu condemned the incident, saying the orderly room trial of the police officers began on Friday.

He had also revealed the identities of the policemen as Inspector Bagou Michael, Inspector Ekpoudom Etop, Sergeant Nnamdi Majura, and Sergeant Akinyemi Benson.

Singer, #Oritsefemi Majemite-Ekele, has condemned the act of Nigerian police officers parading around with Point Of Sale machine (POS).
Reiterating his support for the #EndSARS protests currently going on in different parts of the country, the ‘Body and Soul’ singer said,

“The people don’t want the Special Anti-Robbery Squad and they don’t welcome the Special Weapons and Tactics team either. All they want is proper training and compensation for police officers because they are human beings too. It is sad that bad eggs in the police brutalise the same citizens they are supposed to protect. This is the only country we have and we are fighting to make it better.”

The music star added:

”Why do police officers have to go around with Point of Service machines to extort people? That is robbery.

The country’s security system needs to be taken to the next level. The police needs to go digital and use more of technology for their operations. That is what obtains in developed countries. With the way they profile those who have tattoos and wear dreadlocks, smart criminals would not appear that way so that they can avoid the police.”

Oritsefemi also denied allegations of domestic violence against his wife, Nabila, made by actress, Caroline Danjuma (Hutchings).
