Davido Calls Nollywood Actress, Mercy Johnson & Her Husband Wicked People

Nigerian singer, #Davido has tagged Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson Okojie and her husband as wicked people – We still wondered what might be wrong.
Reports that the actress and her husband, Prince Odi Okojie, had welcomed their fourth child surfaced on the internet. Her colleague in the movie industry, Eniola Badmus took to social media to send in congratulatory messages for the actress and her family.

However, her husband debunked the rumour stating that his wife is yet to put to bed.

Davido also took to the post to send in a strange congratulatory message. According to the singer, Mercy and her husband are wicked people.

A curious fan then asked for why he would label them as wicked people and he responded saying they did nothing to him but still maintained that they are wicked people.

Ashley Coco Adeleke, who is the elder sister to Davido, turned a year older on Sunday and Chioma penned a heartfelt message to mark the special day.

CNN Recognizes Davido For His Philanthropic Contribution Towards Fight Against Coronavirus

#Davido is making an impact across the world with his music and he is getting recognition for his good works.
On Saturday, the singer was featured on international news network CNN for his latest song “D & G” which he sang in support of the Coronavirus research.

Davido announced that all the proceeds from his new video, “D & G” will be donated to fashion house Dolce & Gabbana to provide funds for research to combat Coronavirus.

He explained why he was giving this huge donation during an interview with entertainment reporter, Chloe Melas.

The entertainment reporter asked him why he’s donating the proceeds of his new music video to coronavirus research and also what it was like when his fiancé tested positive for the virus.

Davido Donates Proceeds Of ‘Dolce & Gabanna’ Video To Coronavirus Research

Music superstar, #Davido, has released the video to his hit ‘Dolce & Gabanna’ song and is donating the proceeds to research into COVID-19, following his fiancée, Chioma’s experience with the pandemic.
Davido (David Adedeji Adeleke) not only released his new music video, “Dolce & Gabanna,” on Friday but also announced that all the proceeds from the video will go to support the fashion house’s Dolce & Gabanna and Humanitas Together for Coronavirus Research fund

The video features Summer Walker. For Davido, this has been personal ever since his fiancée, Chioma, tested positive for the virus.

Talking about the donation to CNN, Davido said:-

“I was on tour; she was in London with my son. When we all came back to Nigeria, we were like, because we have travel history, I think it’s best we get tested.

“We had no symptoms. Nobody in the house had symptoms. Out of all 34 of us that got tested, she was the only one that came out positive, which was crazy to us.”

She has since recovered and he says she never exhibited any symptoms

Davido also said Nigeria has been hit hard by the virus, which was why his family donated $1.3 million to the Federal Government in Nigeria and also distributed over 6,000 bags of rice across the Osun State. “People are really going through a hard time,” he continued.

“This is the first time something like this has paused the whole world.

“A lot of people out here make money from day to day, like, surviving day to day pay. That’s not possible because we all have to stay inside.”

Checks on Youtube on Saturday showed that the two minutes 53 seconds ‘Dolce & Gabanna’ video, uploaded on Friday, April 24, 2020, already had 554,093 views.

Popular Nigerian singer, #Davido and his legal counsel, Barrister Bobo Ajudua have both reacted to the claims that #Chioma Avril Rowland never had Coronavirus.

This comes after some Nigerians took to Twitter to attack the popular singer for allegedly lying over the coronavirus status of his fiancée and mother of his son.

The singer’s lawyer couldn’t understand why people would think the singer made up such story about his wife-to-be.

Davido also shared his lawyer’s post with a caption;

Some Nigerians on Sunday took to Twitter to attack popular entertainer, #Davido, over the coronavirus status of his fiancee.
Davido, on the 27th of March, disclosed on Instagram that his fiancee, #Chioma Avril Rowland, tested positive for coronavirus.

He wrote,

“Hey everyone ! I came back recently from America after cancelling tour. My fiancé Chioma also came back from London recently with our baby.

“We had no symptoms and still both feel perfectly fine but because of our recent travel history, we decided to take ourselves and our all close associates we’ve come in recent contact with for the COVID-19 test on the 25th of March.

“Unfortunately, my fiancé’s results came back positive while all 31 others tested have come back negative including our baby. We are however doing perfectly fine and she is even still yet to show any symptoms whatsoever.

“She is now being quarantined and I have also gone into full self-isolation for the minimum 14 days.

“I want to use this opportunity to thank you all for your endless love and prayers in advance and to urge everyone to please stay at home as we control the spread of this virus! Together we can beat this!”

However, on the 19th of April, the ‘Risky singer’ announced the recovery of Chioma from Coronavirus.

But the announcement attracted criticism after Kemi Olunloyo revisited her tweet where she alleged that Davido’s fiancee never tested positive for Coronavirus.

“On April 6th, 2020 I clearly told u that Chioma Rowland, Adeleke’s fiance DID NOT HAVE #covid19.”

Kemi Olunloyo’s tweet on April 6 stated that

“Chioma does not have #covid19 You don’t need to take me seriously.

Dumb people focus on your own health.”

Some Nigerians are now labeling Davido as a liar and a clout chaser.

@mosopeogungbem2 wrote:

“Since Davido doesn’t have a hit song so he created a publicity stunt and said Chioma has corona just to promote mafa mafa and the song flopped so he was frustrated and he is said she is negative, I am a Davido fan but at this point, Davido should quit music and become a mechanic.”

“I knew it was all clout David o,” @khezkk wrote.

Replying to Kemi Olunloyo’s tweet, @Mhonichael wrote:

Nigerian singer, #Davido has promised to better the life of one of his who named his son after the singer.
The follower, who calls himself “Davido twin” and shares a little resemblance with the singer, according to Twitter users, shared a photo online and told Davido that he named his newborn baby after him because of the admiration he has for him.

“My wife just gave birth to a bouncing baby boy and I named him David cos of the love I have for @davido and I want him to be successful like @davido. King David come and bless my son ooo,” the Twitter user wrote.

Davido responded:-

“Show me proof !! And I’ll make ur life a living proof that OBO DEY !!!”

The man has now shared a photo of his son’s birth certificate as proof.
